Member representing Ganye, Jada, Toungo and Mayo Belwa constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulrazaq Namdas, on Thursday, carried out his 5th empowerment programme.
Hon. Namdas, donated 23 CRV jeeps to District Heads in Ganye Chiedom and Mayo Belwa Local Government Areas,100 sewing machines,100 grinding machines and 1,100 seedlings to the officials of the APC.
Though, the District Heads in Mayo Belwa LGA are not under Ganye Chiefdom rather Adamawa Emirate, their vehicles will be distributed to them sometimes later.
The event was the 5th Empowerment Programme so far organised by the federal lawmaker and governorship contender under the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Adamawa state.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Namdas, said that he decided to donate the vehicles to the royal fathers to facilitate their movement, saying that he is going seek the permission of Lamido Adamawa, HRH. Alhaji. Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Musdafa, to distribute such vehicles to district heads in Mayo Belwa.
He added that he distributed grinding machines, sewing machines and seedlings to party exco in Ganye, Jada and Toungo, saying that he has done his best in supporting the party.
Hon. Namdas, had while reacting on clamour for power shift in the state, he said it is legitimate to advocate, but that it is also left for people to decide who they want their governor to be.
According to him, the mere fact that they are advocating, they are not asking him not to contest, saying that they are not fighting anybody seeking for power anywhere, but however said he is also seeking to be the governor.
He said, " We want to win election, and that it is only the right candidate who has the capacity that people will like to vote, saying that he is confident of in winning election in his constituency and Adamawa by extension.
He said that they are in the same party and that whichever way one wants to follow to get to the right place as long as people will accept it, there is no problem about it.
"We have suffered alot because we were not on the same page which made us to lose election, and therefore we will not allow it to happen again. We will allow everybody to legitimately seek for power". He added.
On the speculation that APC national convention will not hold in Febuary, Hon. Namdas, stated that the news is fake, and that even the national secretary of the party said so, stating that he believes in the leadership of his party.
He said he is confident that convention will hold in February, and that if it will not hold, the same people will tell them, saying "for now I have no reason to change my mind to believe that it will take place.
Hon. Abdulrazaq Namdas, pointed out that people who are afraid of their convention should continue to be afraid as they are going to get their things done at the right time.
In his remarks, the APC Chairman in the state, Ibrahim Bilal, noted with delight the effort of Hon. Namdas, in reaching out to his electorate with such empowerment, explaining that it was his 8th time of attending his empowerment programme.
Bilal, told the gathering that the governorship aspirant has made the party proud in the state, and expressed optimism that whichever position he is elected will do same.
In her goodwill message, Hajiya Halima Mohammed Hayatu, told them that she is from nothern senatorial zone and a diehard of Hon. Namdas, and thast she has not seen reason why southern zone will not support him.
Baring his mind, on behalf of youths, Alhaji Aminu Bobbo, pledged the readiness of the youth to vote for him, stating that their aspirant has the interest of youths at heart.
Chairman APC Ganye LGA, Hon. Adamu Gombe, prayed God to fulfill the desire of their member, appealed to the entire electorate in Adamawa to give massive support to their aspirant.
He expressed optimism that APC is going to clinch Adamawa stste, and that Hon. Namdas, has done what he was elected to do and that he will certainly extend same to othe areas when given mandate to steer the ship of state.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Sarkin Yamma Ganye and District Head of Gurumpawo, Alh. Hammatukur Mohammed Gislambe, commended Hon. Namdas, and pledged to support him to ensure his victory.
