A 65 year Local Hunter identified as Isa Kurungu, has been arrested by the operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command for allegedly masterminding the killing his step son.
Kurungu, who hails from Garkida in Gombi Local Government Area, allegedly promised to pay his hired killers the sum of N1million after killing his 40 year old step son, Martani Graima.
NEWS PLATFORM gathered that the murder was allegedly plotted by the local security agent after he had accused the deceased of aiding and abetting crime.
The 3 hired killers who are now at large were said to have stormed the residence of the deceased about a month ago where they whisked him away and killed him.
But the 65 year old man who was among the suspects paraded by the State Police Command on Monday, denied promising to pay money to anybody to kill his step son.
He narrated that anytime he apprehended suspects and handed over to the security in Maiduguri, his step son will follow and secure their bail, and that it was as a result of that that he ordered for his arrest.
He said that he only ordered for Martani's arrest and not to be killed, saying that he did not promise to give a dime to anybody not to talk of killing him.
On his part, Bauche Gomna, who was arrested in connection to the murder, confessed that Kurungu, met him on 2 different occasions and told him to go and kill Martani, but he refused.
Bauche, said that Kurungu, went and hired his son known as Modu, but did not know whether they kill Martani or not, saying that he did not discuss anything pertaining money with Kurungu, when he first met him.
