Arrangements have been concluded for the induction of not less than 226 newly elected Legislative Councillors and Clerks across Adamawa State.
The new Councillors are expected to be trained on legislative processes, practice, procedures as well as how initiate bills, motions and how to conduct successful proceedings.
The 3 -Day exercise which is expected to kick-start today, is organised by the House of Assembly Standing Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in conjuction with the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
The House Committee under the Chairmanship of Hon. Umar Nashon Gubi, Member representing Nasarawo Binyeri constituency is set to equip the participants with the needed legislative knowledge so as to successful in their representation.
An in an invitation letter made available to newsmen indicates that the theme for the workshop is "Lgislative Processes, Practice and Procedures".
It added that the workshop will commence on Wednesday 21st - 23rd September, 2022 with the registration of participants by 8:00 am.
Likewise, the event is slated to hold at Fadfatis Event Center NO. 15 Olusegun Obasanjo road close to IQRA Academy in Yola, Adamawa State.
