MADAGALI LEGISLATOR DONATES CARS, 52 GRINDING MACHINES, CASH TO 500 CONSTITUENTS




The Member representing Madagali constituency at the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Hon. Haruna Jilantikiri, on Saturday, donated 3 sienna buses as well as 52 grinding machines to his electorate.


The vehicles were donated to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Muslim Council of Nigeria(MCN) and the Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the LGA.


Likewise, the Member has donated 52 grinding machines and disbursed cash to 500 constituents to enable them engage in small scale businesses in order to become self reliant.




Speaking at the event, the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, applauded the legislator for empowering his electorate with such items.


The Speaker who was represented by the Deputy, Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo, said that the member has been doing what he was elected to do and congratulated his electorate for having voted him to power.


While appealing to them to ensure the re-election of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and Hon. Jilantikiri,  the Speaker urged the beneficiaries not sell the items but use it help themselves and their families.


On his part, the member representing Madagali constituency, Hon. Haruna Jilantikiri, said that the empowerment programme was the 2nd phase, and that he is planning to organise another one. 


Hon. Jilantikiri, told the gathering that his intention is to make it a policy so that any politician who becomes a member organises such empowernment programme for their constituents.


The legislator appealed to them to support him so as to enable him continue in providing more dividends of democracy to his electorate.


In her remarks, the Head of Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation(PAWECA), Hajiya Aishatu Bawa Bello, who was represented by the Director Monitoring and Evaluation of the agency, Sani Abdulkadir, applauded the member for organising the programme.


According to her, it was a thing of joy for a leader to reach out to his followers with such support, and urged on the beneficiaries to judiciously utilise the items for the purpose intended.


In his remarks, a stakeholder, Alh. Hamza Madagali, said that the only thing that the member needed from them is nothing but support, and appealed for support for the Lergislator


Alh. Hamza, called on them to vote for the Lawmaker and Governor Fintiri for second term to enable them continue in providing dividends of democracy.


Baring his mind, the Chairman Madagali LGC, Rev. Andrawus N. Gadzama, explained that the member has not disappointed his constituents, adding that he has been doing his best for them.


On his part, the PDP Chairman Madagali, Hon. Ibrahim Zadaku, commended him for the gesture, saying his constituents are proud of him and prayed God to continue to open doors for so as assist his electorate.
