Adamawa State Police Command has vowed to trail the attackers of a woman who also killed her daugther in Kodomti, Numan Local Government Area.
The Command has strongly condemned the attack and the gruesome murder of the little girl by men suspected to be herders.
The woman and the deceased who were on their way for burial, were attacked by the suspected herdsmen. She is now receiving treatment at a general hospital in Numan due severe injuries inflicted on her.
The Commissioner of Police, S. K. Akande, who condemned the attack, however ordered for immediate arrest of the suspects.
CP Akande, in a statement by SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, image maker of the Command warned that attacks on innocent citizens would no longer be tolerated under whatever guise.
He said that the Command holds the lives of the citizens sacrosanct, and that such unwarranted attacks would be strictly treated in accordance with extant laws.
He also reiterated the Command's commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing the need to work with other sister security agencies in protecting citizens.
While appealing for calm, CP Akande, said that the Command is doing everything legally possible to fish out the perpetrators.
