ADHA DEP SPEAKER MOURNS MATHIAS, CONDOLES CONSTITUENTS




The Deputy Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo, has expressed deep shock and sadness over the death of the Nigerian Veterant Broadcaster, Chief Timawus Mathias.


Chief Mathias, who died at the age of 74 at the Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital Yola, was the Spokesperson (Nzobyalata) of the Bachama Traditional Council.


Rt. Hon. Mackondo, in a condolence message released on Friday, said he was still struggling to come to terms with the reality of the death of the consummate media icon.


He described Chief Mathias, who hails from his constituency as a patriotic, quintessential and dogged media guru who was passionate about the growth and development of his constituency, Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole.


Rt. Hon. Mackondo, however extended his deepest condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, Hama Bachama, His Royal Majesty, Homun Daniel Ismail Shaga, Bachama traditional Council and Bwatiye community in general.


The Lawmaker equally condoled his entire constituency, Adamawa State Government and media industry nationwide over the exit of the Veterant Broadcaster, Columnist and Media Consultant.


He prayed God to grant the departed soul eternal rest and the entire family and Numan Constituency fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
