Adamawa State House of Assembly on Monday, granted approval on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's request to access the whooping N18.746 Federal Government intervention facility.
Governor Fintiri, in a letter dated 22nd October, 2021, and sent to the assembly, requested it to grant the approval to enable him access the facility to help cushion the effect of the repayment of the existing FG intervention facilities.
Governor Fintiri, informed the members that President Muhammadu Buhari, had graciously approved a bridging finance facility for all the states Adamawa inclusive; hence, his administration's request to that effect.
He added that his request followed the approval granted by the state executive council at its 9th (2021) meeting held on Friday last week where the council accordingly approved the accessing of the facility.
After reading/presentation of the letter by the speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, on Monday, the legislators unanimously considered it and subsequently approved it as requested.
The resolution was sequel to a motion to that effect by the Majority, Hon. Hammantukur Yetisuri(Jada Mbulo) and seconded by the Minority Leader, Hon. Muhammed Mutawali(Girei).
Thereafter, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, directed the clerk to communicate the resolution of the members to the executive arm for necessary action.
