Adamawa State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, has ordered the committees constituted to assess the performance of the Local Government Councils' Chairmen to submit their reports on Monday next week.
To this end, the assembly has adjourned its sittings for one week(4th to 11th October, 2021) to enable the ad hoc committees to embark on the assessment of the developmental projects executed by the 21 LGC Chairmen.
NEWS PLATFORM recalled that assembly had last week constituted 5 committees and handed down 7 terms of reference for determination of the performance of every LGC Chairman for the past 22 months of their assumption of office.
The committees are headed by Hon. Hamidu Sajo Lekki(Yola North), Hon. Simon Isa (Song), Hon. Bathiya Wesley(Hong), Hon. Umar Nashon Gubi(Nasarawo Binyeri) and Hon.Kate Raymond Mamuno(Demsa).
The committees are expected to undertake an on the spot assessment of the projects carried out by the LGC Bosses for their electorate within the period.
The Speaker had while presiding the resumed plenary session on Monday, ordered the committees to present their reports to the committee of whole on Monday next week for consideration and necessary action, and adjourned the plenary till then.
