LGC CHAIRMEN SET AS ADHA LEGISLATORS BEGIN TOUR TODAY

Five Ad Hoc Committees for the Assessment of Local Government Councils Projects set up by the Adamawa State House of Assembly are set to commence the tour of the 21 LGAs.

As mandated, the committees are expected to visit all the 21 LGAs for the assessment of the developmental projects claimed to have been executed by the elected LGC Chairmen and report back to the Honourable House on Monday next week.

The assessment committees are under the leadership of Hon. Hamidu Sajo Lekki(Yola North), Hon. Simon Isa (Song), Hon. Bathiya Wesley(Hong), Hon. Umar Nashon Gubi(Nasarawo Binyeri) and Hon.Kate Raymond Mamuno(Demsa).

It was learnt that necessary arrangements to see to the success of the assignment have been concluded, and that while carrying out their assignments, the members are expected to strictly assess the projects based on the terms of reference given to them by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas.

On their part, the LGC Bosses are said to have put their houses in order to receive the committees as well as showcase developmental strides they have been able to provide for their electorate.

A member of the committees told NEWS PLATFORM on Wednesday that the lawmakers are prepared to beam their searchlight on whatever projects the LGC Bosses said to have executed, and that the committees will be fair and just while performing their duty.
