FOMBINA ROYAL ACADEMY HOLDS MAIDEN CAREER DAY FOR PUPILS



It was historic day for pupils and their parents when the famous /renowned Yola based academy in Adamawa state, Fombina Royal Academy organised a maiden career day for its pupils.


The colourful event provided a unique opportunity where the pupils were enlightened as well as inspired on the career options available to them and how best to make a choice while at tender age. 


The maiden career day which was held at the premises of the school on Thursday, attracted professionals including administrators, lawyers, soldiers, police, engineers, politicians, doctors and host of others.


More importantly, the programme impacted on the lives of the pupils who in turn applauded the management of the Royal Academy for organising the event, saying that they can now be able to make a choice of a career to pursue.



Addressing the students, the Head Teacher of the Academy, Mrs. Nwosu Leticia, said that the event was organised to create opportunity to make the pupils make a choice on career to enable their parents work on it.


Mrs. Leticia, added that the event will bring out from the students what they want to be in life instead of forcing them either by their parents or guardians, saying this will make their parents to work on it to enable them succeed.



According to her, the academy invited professionals across diverse fields of human endeavour in order to talk and guide the pupils on their profession, and what it takes to become like them..


In their addresses, the Brigade Commander and the Commissioner of Police who were represented by the Commander 23rd Brigade Garrison, Major Abubakar Buhari and Police Public Relation Officer(PPRO), DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, talked to the pupils on the important role of the security personnel in the maintenace of law and order in the society.


On his part, Professor Abubakar Bakari, a Surgion with University of Maiduguri, said that becoming a doctor needs consistency and commitment, and challenged them to strive assidously towards in their academic pursuit.


He told them that anyone who wants to become a medical doctor must make the science subjects his major priority, saying that become a doctor is not a day job.


Also speaking, a consultant radiologist at Federal Medical Center (FMC) Yola, Dr Ishaq Musa called on them to read very hard and remain focused and determined so as to attain to their dreams.


In their addresses, Adamawa State Chairman of Nigeria Society of engineers, Eng Adamu Umar, APC Youth Leader, Abubakar Abubakar, a Lecturer College for Legal Studies Yola, Usman Salihu, urged the students to pay attention to their studies and become engineers, politicians and lawyers.
