The Chairman House Standing Committee on Commerce, Trades and Industries of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon.Barr. Umar Bobbo Ismail, has said that the lawmakers are committed to enacting laws for socio-economic development.
Hon. Barr. Bobbo, who represents Fufore/Gurin constituency at the assembly, said that their commitment is to come up with laws that will add value to economic activities in order to boost internally generated revenue.
The lawmaker stated this at the Jimeta Shopping Complex when the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in conjunction with his Committee visited the market.
The Chairman of the House Committee who appealed for collaboration between the committee and the ministry, explained that the collaboration will enable them improve on business activities in the state.
He pointed out that their concern as legislators is to enact laws that will make business activities to flourish and charged business men to put the interest of the market above their personal interests.
Hon. Barr. Umar Bobbo Ismail, assured the readiness of the committee to support business men with needed legislation, and urged them to support the committee and assembly in general.
