The Member representing Michika constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Moses Yerima Zah, has commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for granting his request to relocate College of Health and Technology to Michika.
Governor Fintiri on Tuesday, directed for immediate relocation of the college from Mubi to Michika its permanent site during a meeting with Heads of Tertiary Institutions at in his office in Government House, Yola.
According to Governor Fintiri, the decision followed discussions on how to reposition and strengthen educational institutions for optimal performance in the 21st Century.
Hon. Moses Yerima Zah had while reacting on the development, applauded Governor Fintiri led administration for relocating the college to its permanent site.
The Lawmaker who took it upon himself and lobbied for the relocation of the college on assumption of office, said that he will continue to remain grateful to the Fresh Air Governor for yielding to his request for the relocation.
He stated that his constituents have been yearning for the relocation of the college, hence his decision to lobby for it, and their dreams have become a reality.
He explained that Fintiri's people oriented decision indicated that he has listening ears to yearnings of his electorate, and that his entire electorate will continue support his government for more dividends of democracy.
He appealed to his constituents to accord hospitality to all students, who will come from various backgrounds into the institution as well as cooperate with the management of the college for smooth operation.
The PDP Legislator noted that the relocation of the college will boost socio-economic activities in Michika and environs, saying that Michika is home to all citizens and assured all students and staff to feel at home.
He also assured of his readiness to lobby for more dividends of democracy for his constituency and Adamawa State in general.
The Honourable Member called on the entire citizens of Michika at home and in diaspora to remain united and support the relocation of the college to Michika.
Hon. Moses Yerima Zah further made a passionate appeal to all Michika citizens not to allow anything to affect the school and its operation and also called on them to offer 100 percent support to Governor Fintiri led administration.
