Adamawa State Delivery Committee on Monday, discharged a total number of 42 inmates awaiting trial at the Yolde Pate Correctional Centre. NEWS PLATFORM
The Committee equally granted bail to no fewer than 27 inmates and summarily convicted 2 inmates out of 203 inmates attended to by the committee.
The committee convicted and sentenced the 2 inmates to 5 years imprisonment each after confessing to the alleged offences of which they were remanded.
The Jail Delivery Committee headed by the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Hapsat Abdulrahaman, discharged the inmates when the committee visited Yolde Pate Correctional Center.
Yolde Pate New Medium Security Custodial Center is currently housing 865 inmates.
