SONG LAWMAKER MARKS 100 DAYS, DISTRIBUTES INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS TO 179 SCHOOLS



The Member representing Song constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, has distributed instructional materials to no fewer than 179 public schools in his constituency.



According to the legislator, the gesture is aimed at complementing the effort of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, led administration in transforming the education sector.


Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, has also offered free medical services to about 25 patients who were operated for various ailments at Song and Dumne cottage hospitals recently.


In his 100 days in office, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, who is the Chairman House Standing Committee on Security, rehabilitated Loko- Dumne rural road to ease the movement of goods and services. 


Speaking while distributing the instructional materials on Monday, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, explained that he had procured 3,000 copies of exercise books and chalk to be distributed free of charge to public schools.


He disclosed that he had decided to settle the medical bills of 25 patients who undergone surgeries at Song and Dumne cottage hospitals and rehabilitated the road within 100 days in office, saying that the gesture is just the beginning of more achievements.


He told the gathering that he had been elected by his teeming electorate to make a difference, assuring that he is determined to provide people oriented representation at the assembly.


Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, used the opportunity and thanked Governor Fintiri, the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, and his entire electorate for their unflinching support before, during and after election.


In his remarks, the Chairman Song LGC, Hon. Gidado Abdulsalam (aka POS), described the giant strides of Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, within 3 months as a welcome development.


Hon. Abdulsalam disclosed that Song constituency is lucky to have the lawmaker as its representative at the assembly, explaining that the member has made a history within 100 days.


He commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, led administration's effort in revamping education sector; hence, their effort to complement it for his government to continue to succed.


According to him, in spite of economic hardship, the member was able to provide dividends of democracy to his electorate and thanked him on behalf of Song LGA, assuring that they have seen quality leadership in him.


He called on the entire electorate to learn to appreciate and encourage leaders who are working, saying that the LGC is poised to complement the effort of the present administration.


In his welcome address, the Education Secretary Song LGA, Alh. Ahmadu Bakari, applauded the legislator for providing the instructional materials to public schools.


The ES described the lawmaker as a credible, generous and trusted leader, and promised to be just in the distribution of the materials to the beneficiaries.
