BREAKING: TRIBUNAL ORDERS INEC TO WITHDRAW CERTIFICATE ISSUED TO M/ BELWA LAWMAKER



The National /House of Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Yola, Adamawa State on Friday, has declared the election for Mayo Belwa state constituency inconclusive.


Equally, the tribunal has ordered INEC to withraw certificate  of return issued to Hon. Ibrahim Musa Italiya, who was declared winner of the election with immediate effect

Adamawa Forest Guard Stabs 25 Yrs Old Man to Death

A 29 years old forest guard identified as Sunday Markus, has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly stabbing a 25 years old Isa Hamadu to death. News Platform  Sunday was remanded at the correctional center by the Chief Magistrate Court I sitting in Yola, Adamawa  State Capital presided by Magistrate Lawan Musa. The defendant who hails from Pallam community in Madagali LGA, was remanded following his arraignment before the court by the Adamawa State Police Command. Arraigning the defendant, the prosecuting police officer, Inspector Hamza Abdullahi, informed the court that the defendant was arrested on the 2nd January, 2026. The defendant allegedly stabbed Isa Hamadu in the stomach, and that the victim was confirmed dead by the medical doctor at cottage hospital Madagali when he was rushed for medical attention. Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday, received the name of Leader Andrew Leneke, from Demsa LGA, for screening and confirmation as Commissioner. News Platform  Leader Leneke's name was sent to the assembly by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in a letter addressed to assembly and read at the plenary presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley. After presenting the letter at the hallowed chamber, Rt. Hon.
