I STOLE A DOG, SOLD IT N,3,500, BOUGHT SHOES- MAN CONFESSES

A young man identified as Sani Shuaibu, has confessed stealing a dog, saying he sold it at the sum of N3,500, and bought shoes with money.

Sani, of Jimeta street in Yola North Local Government Area, Adamawa State, said that he had stole the dog around their community and sold it to a man.

He made the confession when the Jail Delivery Committee visited Yolde Medium Security Costodial Center in Yola, Adamawa State.

The accused, who spent some months in prison was among 223 awaiting trial inmates freed by the committee after he voluntarily confessed to the crime.

The committee headed by the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Hapsat Abdulrahaman, discharged the accused when his case came up for review.

She warned him not commit crime again, saying that the court will not be merciful to him anymore if he is arrested for another crime.
