ADAMAWA STATE UNIVERSITY MUBI GETS NEW GOVERNING COUNCIL



Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has today announced the constitution of new Governing Council for Adamawa State University (ADSU) Mubi.

The Governing Council has Awwal D. Tukur as Chairman, while Zira Maigadi, Kashim Njidda,  Mrs. Mary Sawa, Alh. Zubairu Gabdo Toungo,to serve as members with Ministries of Justice and Higher Education as representatives.

A press statement signed by the Director General Media and Communications Government House Yola, Mr. Solomon Kumangar and made available to newsmen in Yola,  said that the appointment is with  immediate effect.

It could be recalled that Governor Fintiri, had while playing host to the management and staff of the institution who paid him a courtesy visit today, said that the he is approving the constitution of the governing council to enable them have the instrumentality of the authority to do what is right to the university.

The University has been operating without a substantive Vice Chancellor and Registrar for the past 3 years.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. Magistrate Adamu ordered the remand of Nakura when he was arraigned before him over multiple allegations slammed against him by the Adamawa State Police Command. Alh. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM. Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga. The leadership of the concerned citizens took a swipe at the erstwhile Governor for disrespecting the Royal Father, Michika Chiefdom and the entire good people of Michika.
