MINI FOOTBALL ASS APPOINTS ADHA SPEAKER AS ITS CHAIRMAN, APPLAUDS HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO YOUTH DEVT
In recognition of his outstanding contributions towards youth development in the society, the Mini Football Association of Nigeria (MAN), has appointed the Speaker, Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, as the Chairman of the Association in the State.
The association however applauded the Speaker for his immense contributions to development of youth in the society.
Speaking while presenting the letter of appointment to the Speaker in his office yesterday, the National President of Association who was represented by his Vice, Hon. Kwamoti Laori, said that they have been following the Speaker's trends, and that they have come to appreciate him, and at the time appoint him to head the association in the state.
Hon. Laori, who is the member representing Lamurde, Numan and Demsa at the House of Representatives, stated that the national body of Mini Football deemed it necessary that the person to occupy the position of chairmanship in the Adamawa, and make the association comes to terms with youth development is Rt. Hon. Iya Abbas.
He told him that it was in recognition of that that the body has sent him to come and present to him his letter of appointment as the state chairman of the football.
The first VP disclosed that presently, Mini Football is making waves and that it is only in Nigeria that it is lagging behind, but said with personality like him, they are going to make roots and find themselves in the comity of nations.
The Lawmaker informed him that the last tournament Africa had in Libya, Nigeria came 2nd, and that presently, some of their players are trading their trade abroad and believed that with the coming of Mini Football, it will create room for the abundant talents and skills that they have to be exhibited so that they can raise up and be what they want to be in football.
Equally, he told him that shortly, there will be a world cup in Australia in which Nigeria will be participating, explaining that they are really preparing to ensure that they put in their best and come on top at the world tournament.
Responding, the Speaker of the 7th Assembly, Rt. Hon.Aminu Iya Abbas, accepted the appointment and appreciated the association for appointing to head Mini Football in the state.
The Speaker assured the association of his readiness to work for the development of the football in the state.
According to him, whatever is worth doing, it is worth doing well, and pledged to come together to develop the body in the state knowing fully well that even before the formal launch of the association in Adamawa, they have 2 to 3 football pitches.
Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, promised to develop the pitches as well as encourage most especially their youth to participate and have something doing in the state.
