LGC POLLS: ADAMAWA APC RELEASES NAMES OF 21CANDIDATES



As a build up of the Local Government Councils election in Adamawa state, the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) state chapter has released the names of successful chairmanship candidates that will slug it out with other candidates during the polls.

A statement signed by the Secretary of the Steering Committee who is also the Financial Secretary of the party, Umar Duhu, and made available to newsmen in Yola, said that about 7 of the candidates emerged through consensus, 10 by election while 4 others emerged by affirmation.

Duhu disclosed that the candidates who emerged by consensus include; Abdullahi Duda (Madagali), Deascos Wadupe (Michika), Liazarus Kefas (Song), Iya Aliyu Muhammadu (Girei), Saidu Yahaya Nuhu (Fufore), Philip Ahmed Gutuwa (Shelleng ) and Raphael Ma’aji (Toungo).

The statement added that Mohammed Ribadu Lawal (Mubi-north ), Hamza Zubairu (Mubi-south), Ahmed Bobbo (Maiha ), Mark Meena Dauda (Demsa), Ibrahim Abubakar Abba (Yola-north ) and Ahmed Yusuf Abubakar (Yola-south), were among candidates that were elected.

Others include; Salihu Bawuro Mayos (Mayo Belwa), Umar Hammanjoda (Jada ), Barr. Mahmud Gurumpawo (Ganye ) and Dimas Maina (Gombi ).

While Musa Usman Terrang (Hong ), Nafama Mamadu Thimnu (Guyuk), Joshua Edibal (Lamurde ) and Sophia Elisa Asu (Numan ), came by affirmation.
