Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, has today decorated one of his security aids, ASC Zubairu Ahmed Jika, with his new rank as Assistant Superintendent of Corpse 2 (ASC2) Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corpse(NSCDC).
ASC Zubairu Jika, was one of the beneficiaries of the recent promotions carried out by the NSCDC, where he he was promoted from Assistant Superintendent of Corpse 1 (ASC1) to Assistant Superintendent of Corpse 2 (ASC2).
The Presiding Officer of the House was assisted during the decoration by the Commandant NSCDC in the state, Abdullahi Nurudeen, who was represented by the Assistant Commandant and Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the command, Suleiman Baba.
Speaking while decorating the officer, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Iya Abbas, congratulated him over his promotion, and urged him to be more dedicated to his official duty to enable him raise to greatness in his field of endeavour.
He told the gathering that the state is in critical condition that is in dire need of help from security agencies like NSCDC, explaining that a lot bad things ranging from kidnapping, arson and farmer/herder clashes among others are happening which must be nip in the bud.
According to him, the present administration is poised to assist security apparatus in the state, assuring them that the government is going to invest heavily in the sector as no meaningful development will be recorded without security.
In his remarks, the Commandant of the NSCDC in the state, Abdullahi Nurudeen, who was represented by the Assistant Commandant and PRO of the command, Suleiman Baba, congratulated the officer and charged him to redouble his effort for the task ahead.
He told the Speaker that the officer was a committed person when he was provost, and called on him to strive hard because according to him, to whom much us given, much is expected.
He pointed out that the cardinal objectives of the security organisation is to protect lives and property, provide assistance during emergencies, disaster management, protection of critical infrastructure of the government among others.
