The source who craved for anonymity said that Alh Sajoh, was shot two times by the gunmen who hurriedly drove out of the filling station, leaving the victim lifeless.

He added that the perpetrators did not demand for anything not to talk of taking him away and demand for ransom as it used to be in Girei town.

NEWS PLATFORM further gathered that the gunmen decided to change the timing of their attack considering how security has been beefed up in the town for the past two months most especially as from 10:00pm to 4:00am daily.

According to family source, the victim left behind 4 wives and many children and that he will be buried by 10am later in the day in Girei according to Islamic rites.

For quiet sometimes now, the security operatives including police and the vigilante group have been patrolling the town on daily basis most especially in the night to curtail rampant cases of kidnapping as it used to be recorded in the town.
Both Muslims and Christians have been thrown into the state of mourning as they testify to the magnanimity, benevolence and the generosity of the late.

But when contacted, the spokesman of the state police command, DSP Yahaya Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident and said that the command has deployed its men to unravel the circumstances as well as arrest the perpetrators.
