ADHA: TRIBUNAL DELIVERS JUDGEMENT ON 3 PETITIONS TODAY



The State House of Election Petition Tribunal holden at Yola, the Adamawa state is due to deliver judgement on 3 different suits brought before it challenging the elections of the incumbent members representing Toungo, Ganye and Gombi constituencies at the Adamawa State House of Assembly.

The petitions were filed before the Court by the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Hon. Kefas Calvin and Hon. Jibrin Usman Yelwa, against Hon. Abdullahi Umar Nyako, and Hon. Alhassan Hammanjoda of All Progressives Congress(APC) Toungo and Ganye constituencies at the House Assembly respectively.

Likewise, the candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Rufai Umar Gombi, has dragged Hon. Japheth Kefas(PDP), Gombi constituency at the Assembly over the allegations of irregularities said to have characterised the election that brought Hon. Kefas to the House.

But the Tribunal has fixed today Wednesday 18 September, 2019, for judgement on the petitions.
