Lawmakers at the Adamawa state House of Assembly have fixed Thursday to hold a valedictory session in honour of former Speaker of the House of Assembly, late Paul Wampna Vimtim.
The resolution by the Honourable House to organise a valedictory session followed a motion to that effect at yesterday's plenary session by the majority Leader, Hon. Hammantukur Yettisuri (Jada Mbulo) and seconded by the Minority Leader, Hon. Muhammed Mutawali(Girei).
According to the legislators, the special session will be held by 10:00am at the hallowed chamber and expected to be graced by erstwhile Speakers and Honourable Members who will observe safety guidelines laid down by authorities to check the spread of Covid-19.
The Lawmakers said that the session will avail them the opportunity to pay last respect to the pioneer Speaker of the House during the defunct Gongola state and former Senator who represented Adamawa Northern Senatorial Zone during second republic.
Wampana died in the wee hours of Sunday at his residence in Abuja.
