Adamawa state Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Councilor representing Vulpi Ward in Numan Local Government Area, Hon. Makana Enan Ngari, who was yesterday declared wanted by the state Government over allegations of cattle rustling.
The Councillor, according to the police command is currently in a police custody.
According to the statement by the spokesman of the command, DSP, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje and made available to NEWS PLATFORM, the Councilor submitted himself to the police in Numan and had since been moved to State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for discreet investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adeyanju however urged the general public to remain calm and enjoy the already existing peace in Numan Federation.
CP Adeyanju assured that the suspect(s) will be diligently prosecuted on completion of investigation if found to had involved in the act, saying that the Police will not relent until justice is done to all and sundry.
