The management and staff of the Adamawa State Board of Internal Revenue (BIR), have commiserated with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Fatima Umaru Badami who died on the 29th April, 2020 at Federal Medical Centre(FMC), Yola.
The board has further sympathised with the Government as well as the citizens over what it described as irreparable loss, explaining that her transition threw the state in mourning.
The Executive Chairman of board, Alhaji Hamman Adams Jabbari in statement sent to newsmen in Yola, the Adamawa state capital said that the passage of Hajiya Fatimah has created a huge vacuum not only in the Fintiri's family but in Adamawa state and the entire nation.
The Board Chairman said the deceased was well known for her forthrightness and candour in handling issues which earned her the love and respect of all who came around her.
“A devout Muslim, community leader and matriarch, Hajiya Fatima until her passage remained a shining example of humility and a source of inspiration for the younger generation,” the Chairman added.
“We in the Board of Internal Revenue mourn with Governor Fintiri and the entire of the people of Adamawa state, and pray God to give the bereaved the fortitude the bear the great loss,” he said
