As Muslims in Adamawa State join their counterparts around the globe in celebrating Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan fast, the National Youth Council Of Nigeria (NYCN), Adamawa State Chapter under the leadership of Ambassador Ajine K. Delo, has congratulated Muslim brothers and sisters and wished them a successful celebration of Eid-el- Fitr.
Ambassador Ajine, urged Muslim faithful to reflect on the lessons learnt during the Ramadan period and on the significance of fasting as a religious obligation, charging them to allow its true meaning reflect deep in their lives as well as the positive impact it will make on the lives of others.
The Chairman in a goodwill message signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Council, Comrade Joseph Edward Wayamdi, felicitated with the Executive Governor of the State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Youths and other faithful in the state.
He appreciated God Almighty for sparing the lives of Muslim Youths and other faithful towards the successful completion of Ramadan fast, saying that the dreaded disease had made it difficult for the faithful to perform their religious obligation, but said that the Council is happy that it was completed successfully
.
He further appealed to the faithful to continue to observe safety tips while celebrating the period such as use of face mask, social distancing, regular hand washing as advised by health experts and preached by religious leaders.
While calling on the faithful to sustain the virtues of Ramadan, the Chairman prayed God to take State, the country and the entire world out of Covid-19 pandemic, and for the citizens to remain in peace and harmony.
Ambassador Ajine k. Delo gave kudos to Governor Fintiri, State COVID-19 Containment Committee, healthcare workers and others on essential services for being in front line in the fight against COVID-19, and further prayed God to continue to give them wisdom to end the pandemic.
