Alhassan Hammanjoda has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for signing Executive Order, granting the financial autonomy to State Legislature and and Judiciary.

Hon.Alhassan who made the commendation in an interview with newsmen in Yola on Saturday, applauded PMB for granting the financial autonomy, saying that the autonomy is long overdue.

According to him, the importance of the presidential Executive Order aimed at giving financial autonomy of the state assemblies and the judiciary cannot be over emphasised considering its importance to the two arms of government.

He explained that some states could not take independent decisions or perform their constitutional functions as stipulated without the interference of their Governors because they control their resources, saying that the autonomy will now make state legislature effective than ever.

He further stated that the merits of the presidential Executive Order are numerous as the Honourable Members can conduct their legislative businesses, carry out oversight functions, perform uptimally without recourse to anyone.
