Adamawa state Police Command has announced the recovery of 11 cattle from the arrested Councillor represented Vulpi Ward in Numan Local Government Council, Hon. Makana Enan Ngari.
Hon. Enan Ngari was recently declared wanted by the State Government and but subsequently submitted himself to the police over the allegations of cattle rustling.
According to a statement signed by the Image Maker of the Command, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje and made available to NEWS PLATFORM today, said that the investigation into the matter has been yielding positive results, saying that so far, about 11 cattle in possession of the Councillor and others have been recovered.
DSP Suleiman Nguroje said that the Command had released the recovered cattle to the leadership of Pulaaku Njonde Jam State Chapter on bond, and assured of the command's commitment to recovering more as investigation is still ongoing.
He urged the general public to remain calm, assuring that the Police is doing everything legally possible to recover the remaining cattle including those rustled at Mbemum village in Lamurde Local Government Area, so as to return them to the owners.
The statement appealed to the citizens continue to give useful information to police, saying that the suspect(s) will be diligently prosecuted and ensure justice is done to everyone.
