Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Finance and Budget, Dr. Ishaya Jahn Dabari says his Ministry and the State Board of Internal Revenue (BIR) are working hard towards achieving the target given to them by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in revenue generation.
According to him, with the kind of strategies put in place by the board with a view to boosting the revenue base of the state, Adamawa will get enough resources to run it affairs.
The Commissioner who was fielding question from newsmen shortly after defending the 2020 proposed budget estimate of the ministry at House of Assembly yesterday, said that the ministry and the board headed by the its Chairman, Hamman Adama Jabbari are striving hard to meeting the target.
Hon. Dr. Dabari said that they have deployed the use of consultants especially for the operation of Single Treasury Account (TSA), saying that most of the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) have keyed into the programme.
He added that they have involved consultants in blocking leakages even in none formal sectors with a view to ensuring that all revenues that are due for the state are collected and paid as at when due, expressing optimism that the revenues of the will be enhanced as expected.
