APPEAL COURT FIXES THURSDAY FOR JUDGEMENT IN APC, BINDOW, FINTIRI'S APPEAL

The Court of Appeal sitting in Yola, the Adamawa state capital has fixed Thursday for judgement in an appeal filed by the opposition All Progressives Congress(APC) in the state.

The APC is challenging the decision of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal which validated the election of the incumbent Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on 11th October, 2019.

Also, the court is expected to rule on the application for joinder brought before it by erstwhile Governor Muhammad Umar Jibrilla Bindow seeking to join the substantive suit filed by APC as a party.

Equally, the court will give its verdict on cross appeal filed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

It could be recalled that the court presided by 5 Panel of Judges led by Honourable Justice Gumel had on Monday this week reserved APC's appeal and Governor Fintiri' cross appeal respectively for judgement while ex-Governor Bindow's application for joinder for ruling.

Both the ruling and the judgement on Bindow's application for joinder and Fintiri's cross appeal will be delivered along side the substantive suit instituted by APC tomorrow.
