JUST IN: ADHA APPROVES #183.3BILLION AS PROPOSED BUDGET ESTIMATE FOR 2020

Members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly have just passed the whopping sum of #183.3billion proposed budget estimate as presented by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the services of the state in the year 2020.

The passage of the appropriation bill followed the consideration and adoption of the the report of the House Standing Committee on Finance, Budget and Appropriation presented by it Chairman, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno (Demsa).

Earlier, Hon. Kate had while presenting the report of her committee at a resumed plenary session presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas today, prayed the house to consider the report and possibly pass it due to it importance to the state.

She said that her committee had successfully completed its assignment, and urged the house to consider approving the budget to enable the present administration commence implementation of its laudable programmes.

After the passage of the appropriation bill, the speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas who presided over sitting, directed the clerk of the house to communicate the resolution of the honourable house to the executive arm for implementation.
