HON. LEKKI DESCRIBES ADAMAWA LGC POLLS AS FREE, FAIR

Hon. Hamidu Sajo Lekki, Yola Const ADHA exercising franchise at Unit 021, Mass Word

Member representing Yola North constituency at the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Hon. Hamidu Sajo Lekki, has described the ongoing Local Government Councils election in state as free, fair and credible.

Hon. Lekki was speaking to newsmen shortly after casting his votes at Unit 021 Nassarawo Ward in Yola North today, expressed satisfaction with the way voters have been conducting themselves peacefully and in orderly manner.

He appreciated God for giving him the opportunity to exercise his franchise as Nigerian, saying that he was excited because the election is free, fair and credible and that what made him more happy is how the election is without violence or destruction of lives and property.

The Legislator expressed hope that the exercise will go on like the way it started to the time that the final results will be announced, and made a passionate appeal to all the candidates that participated in the election to take the outcome of the polls in good fate.

Hon. Lekki who is also the Chairman House Standing Committee on Health and Human Services of the House of Assembly said in every contest there must be a winner and a loser, and urged them to embrace each other for peace to reign.

He pleaded with whoever that will emerge victorious to carry everybody along, while the loser should congratulate the winner in the interest of Adamawa.

Hon. Hamidu Sajo Lekki told newsmen that he was one of the contestants for Chairmanship seat in 2016 under the platform of PDP, explaining that he lost the election and that he took it in good fate and called on all the candidates to follow suit.
