Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State
Following last week's attack by the dreaded Boko Haram which claimed lives in Garkida in Gombi Local Government Area, Adamawa state, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has sought for the establishment of Trauma center for the victims of the attack.
He also sought the intervention of North East Development Commission towards rebuilding of both private and public structures/facilities destroyed by the insurgents in the area.
According to Fintiri, opening of the center will provide psychosocial support to the victims of the attack, urging on the North East Development Commission to help the people at this critical time.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri made the appeal Wednesday when he visited North East Development Commission in Abuja.
He told the Commission that his administration will not leave stone unturned in tackling insecurity, saying that he was at the commission to seek for Trauma center and the rebuilding the community.
According to him, as a first step towards enhancing security in the state, his government had donated 10 new vehicles to the military after distribution of 51 Toyota hilux to support operation Farauta in its efforts to curbing insecurity
Responding, the Chairman of the commission, General Paul Tarfa pledged the readiness of commission to meeting the request of the Governor, and promised to send a delegation to Garkida to assess the level of damage for possible assistance
