Nigerian Army with the support of the Vigilante Group have just repelled a fresh attack by suspected Boko Haram on Garkida, a community in Gombi Local Government Area in Adamawa state.
According to sources from Garkida, the insurgents who invaded the Garkida this evening succeeded in setting some buildings on fire but were resisted by the Military in support of the Vigilante.
NEWS PLATFORM learnt that curfew has already been imposed on the Community in an effort to calm the situation.
Details on the level of damages caused by the dreaded Boko Haram is yet to be ascertained.
When contacted for confirmation, the Spokesman of the Police Command in the State, DSP, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that the command has deployed its men and currently gathering information on the incident.
