ADHA REMOVES HON. KWADA AS CHIEF WHIP, REPLACES HIM WITH HON. JILANTIKIRI
Lawmakers at the Adamawa State House of Assembly under the platform of the ruling Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) have on Tuesday removed the Chief Whip of the House of Assembly, Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada(Michika) and replaced him with Hon. Haruna Jilantikiri(Madagali).
A notice of removal which was duly signed by 12 PDP Caucus Members in the House and read at the resumed plenary session by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, said that the Honourable members have passed a vote of no confidence on the lawmaker based on "obvious reasons".
However, the Caucus Members went ahead and appointed the member representing Madagali constituency, Hon. Haruna Jilantikiri as a replacement and it is with immediate effect.
In his reaction to the development, the former Chief Whip of the House and Member representing Michika Constituency, Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada appreciated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the Leadership of the of the House for the opportunity given to him to serve in that capacity.
The former Chief Whip specifically thanked Governor Fintiri, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon.Aminu Iya Abbas, Leadership of the ruling PDP and PDP members in the House of Assembly for their support and cooperation.
Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada further congratulated the new Chief Whip, Hon. Haruna Jilantikiri over his appointment as the new Chief Whip of the House and prayed God to give him more wisdom as well as protect him while piloting the affairs of his new office.
