ADHA CONFIRMS MUSA GAUDE AS NEW CLERK TO THE HOUSE


Members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly have confirmed the appointment of Musa Ahmad Gaude as the substantive clerk to the House of Assembly.

The appointment and subsequent confirmation of Musa Gaude followed the retirement of former Clerk to the House, Mr. Francis Gbansenso from the service in November, 2019.

His appointment was contained in a letter dated 30th January, 2020, by the House of Assembly Service Commission and signed by its Chairman, Abdullahi Abubakar.

Until his appointment, Musa Gaude was the Permanent Secretary Political at the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Eng. Bashir Ahmed and also served as Deputy Clerk from 2012  to 2013 and Acting Clerk from 2011 to 2012 to the House.

The confirmation followed the presentation of the report of the Joint Committee on House Services and Public Services and Electoral Matters by its Chairman and Member Representing Guyuk constituency, Hon. Adwawa Donglock.

While, moving a motion for the confirmation, the Majority Leader of the House and member representing Jada Mbulo constituency, Hon. Hammantukur Yettisuri urged his colleagues to confirm him based on his track record at the house and civil service in general.

Thereafter, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas who presided over the resumed plenary session, directed the clerk to communicate the house's resolution to the Commission.
