ADAMAWA SIEC SHIFTS LGC ELECTIONS TO DECEMBER 4TH

By Innocent Daniel Zira

Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) has shifted the scheduled Local Government Councils elections to the 4th December, 2021.

According to the electoral body, the election will no longer hold on the 27th November, 2021, as earlier planned and announced.

The commission in a statement by the Information Officer, Innocent Daniel Zira, and made available to NEWS PLATFORM, said that the shift followed a meeting with representatives of political parties presided by the Chairman Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), Mallam Isa Shettima.

According to him, some crucial observations were made on the earlier released time table which led to some changes on the election time table in order to suit the activities of political parties in the state.

"The new date for the election has been scheduled for 04th December, 2021 instead of 27th November, 2021".
