Ahead of the scheduled Peoples' Democratic Party(PDP) Congresses in Adamawa state, the Critical Stakeholders of the party in Guyuk Local Government Area have conducted a meeting and adopted guidelines for the forthcoming congress.
Among the stakeholders who added colour to the historic and successful congress include; Hon. Adwawa Donglock, Member representing Guyuk constituency at the House of Assembly, Hon. Wulbina Jackson, Commissioner Ministry of Education, Rt. Hon. Gibson Nathaniel, former speaker ADHA, Kobis Ari Thimnu, ex-SSG, Hon. Scholar Levy, former National Delegate, Barrister Kassah Shallom, Executive Chairman Guyuk LGC, PDP Chairman Guyuk LGA, Afraimu Dankal, Baba Harold Murchilum, elders and supporters of the party among others.
During the meeting, the Stakeholders who spoke with one voice, concluded arrangements towards the conduct of forthcoming ward congress scheduled for Saturday, 25th Sept, 2021, as organised by the National Headquarters of the party.
The participants used the forum and commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his commitment towards transforming the state, and congratulated him over his recent appointment to head the forthcoming of National Convention of the party.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the meeting, the Deputy Chief Whip of Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Adwawa Wilberforce Donglok who is also the Chieftain of the party in the LGA, said that the event was very successful, saying that they were able to adopt guidelines for the forthcoming congresses.
Hon Adawaw, further stated that the Guyuk Local Government chapter of the party had concluded necessary arrangements to ensure the conduct of hitch-free congresses.
He congratulated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, over his appointment to head the fourth coming National Convention of the party, and appreciated the NWC members of the PDP for given him the mandate after considering his track record of transparency, Justice and fairness in the discharge of his duties.
Hon. Adwawa Donglock, had while affirming their loyalty and unflinching support to the Governor, also commended him for his giant strides in transforming the state in both infrastructure and human capital development.
Speaking during the meeting, the former Secretary to the State Government, Mr Kobis Ari Thimnu, said that the transformation agenda of Governor Fintiri led PDP administration in the state is what endeared him to come back to the party.
Also speaking, the Council Chairman Guyuk LGC, Barrister Kassah shallom, urged the stakeholders in the area to work tirelessly to ensure the success of the party at all levels, adding that his doors are always open to those who are willing to provide useful advice that could move the party forward.
In his address the Chairman of the PDP Guyuk Local Government Area, Mr. afraimu Dankal, intimated the participants of the meeting about the elaborate arrangements made by the State Headquarters of the PDP as issued by the National Secretariat to ensure the success of the exercise
