ADAMAWA ALGON BOSS BAGS 2021 BEST LG CHAIR AWARD



In recognition of his excellent performance, the Transparency for Good Governance,a Pro-Democracy and Value Support Organization has presented the "Best Local Government Chairman of the year 2021"award on the Chairman Mubi-South Local Government Council, Hon.Jingi Rufai.


Hon. Jingi Rufai, who is also the Chairman Association of Local Government of Nigeria(ALGON), Adamawa chapter, was presented with the prestigious award in Yola, the State capital along side 5 other distinguished personalities.


Other personalities that were honoured along side the LGC Chairman include; the Chief of Staff, Government House Yola, Professor Maxwell Gidado, Commissioner of Works, Hon.Adamu Atiku Abubakar, Commissioner of Youths and Sports, Aloysus Babadoke,an Adamawa-based Politician and philantrophist, Dr.Stephen Maduwa and the Chairman of Medical and Health workers Union, Comrade Usman Babbada.


Presenting the award to the recepients, the Co-ordinator of the organisation, Mr.Bimga Samuel Shamile, said that the organization has found them worthy to be identified and honoured in recognition of their track records in serving humanity.


Mr. Bimga, told the gathering that the awardees have distinguished themselves in community service, as philantrophists, men of integrity and true democrats whose achievements are compatible with the concept of democracy in the country.


He specifically spoke on grassroot governance and development which he said the ALGON Boss has performed wonderfully in impacting positively on lives of his electorate ranging from empowerment programmes, roads, agriculture and health care delivery.


He further commended other chairmen for complementing the developmental agenda of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.


Responding on behalf of the recipients, the ALGON Chairman Hon. Jingi Rufai, said that the honour done to them was also for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led-administration, saying he had received the award in good fate, dignity and gratitude".


Hon. Jingi Rufai who was visibly happy said the honour will further spur him to work harder in serving humanity and the people of Mubi-South LGA since leaders are born to serve.
