ADHA Receives Final 2025 Revised Budget Amendment Bill



Lawmakers at the Adamawa State House of Assembly on Wednesday, received the final 2025 Revised Budget Amendment Bill for consideration and passage.


Already, the amendment bill has scaled 1st and 2nd reading at the assembly's resumed sitting presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley.


The bill is contained in a letter forwarded to the assembly by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, asking the assembly to consider and approve it.


Fintiri informed the legislators that the State Executive Council at its 4th (2026) meeting held on Wednesday 29th April, 2026, considered and approved the final 2025 Revised Budget Amendment in order to regularise the over expended sub -heads by some ministries, departments and agencies.


After the bill was presented at the floor by the Speaker, the Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Ahmed Jingi Belel, moved for the 2nd reading and seconded by the Member representing Uba-Gaya Constituency, Hon. John Adum Alaba, respectively.


Thereafter, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, announced the 2nd reading of the bill and referred same to the committee on Finance, Appropriation and Budget for consideration and directed it to report to the assembly within one week.
