23 out of 73 Suspects Nabbed in Mubi Arraigned for Various Offences



The Adamawa State Police Command has arraigned 23 out of 73 suspects apprehended in Mubi for various offences.

It could be recalled that a joint security operation conducted in Mubi and environs led to the arrest of 73 suspects for various offences.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, made this known in a release made available to News Platform on Saturday.

He said preliminary investigation had revealed that some of the suspects were among persons previously placed on the command’s wanted list for their alleged involvement in violent crimes and other criminal activities within the state.

"The Command wishes to state that 23 indicted suspects have been arraigned before a competent court of jurisdiction for prosecution, while investigation is being intensified to apprehend other fleeing members of the criminal syndicates and further unravel criminal networks connected to the suspects", he stated.

The Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, Kabir Umar Hassan, reassured the public that the command remains committed to sustaining ongoing operations targeted at flushing out criminal elements across the State.

The Command appreciated the continued support, cooperation and credible information being provided by residents, and urged the public to remain vigilant, security conscious and law abiding.
