Why ADHA M/Leader, Kate Mamuno Deserves Another Mandate

 

While others could not give any account of stewardship to their teeming constituents, the Majority Leader Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno, has no doubt performed credibly well both at the hallowed chamber and in terms of empowerment programmes.

As the only female legislator at the assembly, Hon. Kate Mamuno remains boldly proactive, unapologetically vocal, vibrant and relentlessly results-driven on floor when it comes debates, sponsoring people oriented motions, lobbying and organising empowerment programmes since her assumption of office.

It should be understood that in every democratic setting that is functional across the world, senior legislators often become strongest voices for their constituencies as it makes it possible for their people to understand the nitty -gritty of the system. They command respect amongst their fellow legislators as well as have political clout necessary to lobby for projects and to attract national attention as well.

From championing key infrastructure to amplifying the voices of Demsa electorate, Hon. Kate who is the Chairman House Committee on Budget, Appropriation and Finance has turned experience into real impact for Demsa Constituency and Adamawa State in general.

On whether Hon. Kate Mamuno has served before or is not necessary or an issue of discourse at this material time. If one is thinking about replacing an experienced, tested and trusted legislator with a new leader, then we are toying with the future of the people of Demsa LGA. The most important thing for us in Demsa LGA is to work for the re-election of an experienced, tested and trusted leader we know to enable her provide quality representation for us.

It should be understood that effectiveness and efficiency in the legislative business is not a day's job; it requires years of experience to understand how it takes to initiate bills,  motions and lobby for your constituents. No doubt, Hon. Kate Mamuno who is the Chairman House Committee on Women Affairs and who held several positions at the hallowed chamber has gathered wealth of experience that will enable her provide better representation for her people. She is intellectually sound, mentally stable and educationally realistic.

Hon. Kate Mamuno has proven to be powerful voice at the Adamawa State House of Assembly having heard her debates at the plenary. Likewise, being the Majority Leader is a pointer to the fact that she is equal to tasks. With a record of a national award from the "National Assembly News" as"The best female state legislator" in Nigeria is a pride to her constituency and the state at large.

As a high ranking Legislator in the state, Hon.Kate is better stationed and positioned to bring the interest of state and national as well as get strategic position for her people than a "learner". In short, Demsa needs an experience leader who can deliver.
