ADHA Approves Participation of Adamawa in FAAC Programme
Adamawa State House of Assembly has approved participation of Adamawa State Government in the Federation Account Allocation Committee, FAAC, Receivables Discounting Programme for infrastructure financing.
The approval followed the consideration of a letter sent to the assembly by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and read at the plenary by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley.
Fintiri informed tye assembly that the State Executive Council at its 7th meeting held on the 18th May, 2026 approved the participation of Adamawa State in the programme to enable the government secure third-party funding for priority infrastructure and capital projects across the state.
The letter explained that the initiative is aimed at boosting infrastructural development through alternative financing arrangements that would support the execution of key projects.
The legislators unanimously considered the request and noted that the programme would assist the state government in addressing infrastructural challenges and accelerating development.
The lawmakers thereafter gave their appr to the request, paving the way for Adamawa State to participate in the FAAC Receivables Discounting Programme.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, commended the members for their contributions and reaffirmed the commitment and asked the clerk to communicate the resolution of the assembly to Governor Fintiri.
