Adamawa North Endorses Namdas ahead of APC Primary Election



Some political stakeholders in Adamawa Northern Zone have endorsed All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Aspirant, Abdulrazak Sa'ad Namdas PhD, ahead of the 21st May, 2026 scheduled primary election of the party.

To this end, the stakeholders who cut across Madagali, Michika, Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha LGAs called on their members across wards, polling units, local governments to intensify efforts in support of Namdas to secure a brighter future for Adamawa state.


The political stakeholders comprise LG and ward exco of the APC, party faithful and supporters who threw their weight behind his candidacy when the aspirant and his campaign team stormed the LGAs on Tuesday.

According to them, supporting and striving towards the victory of Namdas during primary and general elections becomes necessary considering his working experience, capacity and connections and described him as a grasstroot politician who knows the yearnings and aspirations of the electorate.

According to them, Namdas is a competent leader who cannot disappoint the electorate considering his Performance when he was member House of Representatives.


Speaking while received the aspirant and his team in Gulak, APC Vice Chairman, Merchel Putai, Youth Mobilisation, Ahmadu Zare, Women Leader, Murna James, a stakeholder, Francis Zaman among others assured him of their support and commitment towards ensuring his victory.

On their part, the APC Chairman Michika LGA, Garba Yaro, Women Leader, Tabitha Paul, Youth Leader, Habila Peter, among others, expressed their readiness to work for him in order to win election.


Likewise, the party leadership in Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha commended him and his team for visiting the LGAs, and pledged their loyalty, support and readiness to mobilise support for him.

Addressing his supporters at Madagali LG Secretariat in Gulak, Civic Centre Michika, Mubi town, Maiha LG Secretariat, the governorship aspirant said that he had decided to visit and interface with his teeming electorate and unveil the good plans he has for the development of the state.

Namdas assured that he had gathered experience when he was Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Boni Haruna, and Member House of Representatives among others which according to him, had equipped him to steer the affairs of the state.

He appealed to the electorate in the zone to come out enmasse and vote for him to enable him consolidate on the developmental strides recorded by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, and commended Governor Fintiri led administration.

He used the opportunity and visited the chiefs and emirs of Madagali, Michika, Mubi and Maiha Emirate where he informed them about his decision to contest election and sought their royal blessings.
