ADHA M/Leader Seeks Re-election, Assures Constituents of Better Representation
The Majority Leader Adamawa State House of Assembly and Member representing Demsa Constituency, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno, has expressed her interest to seek re-election to enable her provide greater representation for her constituents.
Hon. Kate Mamuno who is the only female lawmaker at the assembly has picked her nomination form to enable her recontest during the forthcoming general election.
The legislator who served as the Deputy Majority Leader during her first tenure and currently the Majority Leader said she had gathered enough experience as a legislator that will enable her take deliberate and concrete steps toward advancing women’s political representation through legislation.
Hon. Kate Mamuno who is also the Chairman House Committee on Appropriation, Budget and Finance, highlighted some of her achievements in the area of sponsoring of bills, motions on matters of public interest, organising mega empowerment programmes for youth, women, cash support and lobbied for developmental projects among others.
She reiterated her commitment to initiate bills, motions and lobby to improve the living standard of her constituents as well as boost women’s numbers in governance and politics across the state.
She vowed to focus more on gender equality in her representation to ensure that women are carried along in the scheme of things, assuring women and her entire electorate of better representation if entrusted with their mandate.
She used the opportunity and called on her electorate to support her so as to enable her win primary and general elections respectively, and promised not to disappoint her constituents when returned for the third term.
Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno, applauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, led administration for giving equal treatment to women, his giant strides in infrastructure and ensuring cordial working relationship between the legislature and the executive arms.
