Namdas Exemplifies a Leader Adamawa Needs after Fintiri-Kwandi Nungura

In continuation of consultations ahead of All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship primary election, the Governorship Aspirant, Hon. Abdulrazak Sa'ad Namdas, and his campaign team on Monday, stormed Shelleng and Guyuk Local Government Areas.

The Governorship Hopeful was received by hundreds of supporters including LG and Ward Exco of APC and party faithful who overwhelmingly endorsed his candidacy.

Namdas used the opportunity and visited the palaces of the President and Chairman Nungura Traditional Council, Kwandi Nungura, Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda and Amna Shelleng, HRH, Alh. Dr. Abdullahi Isa Dasong.

Speaking at the palaces, Namdas said he visited the revered traditional rulers primarily to inform them about his decision to contest for governorship as well seek their royal blessings.

Namdas told the paramount rulers that as their son, he is in dire need of their prayers to enable him succeed and hailed their leadership and relative peace being enjoyed across their domains.

He said he has requisite qualities as former member of the House of Representatives, Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Boni Haruna among others to take over from Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and ensure continuity.

While at the palace of Kwandi Nungura, he vowed to fix Numan-Guyuk road, establish university in Adamawa South, create job for youth and sustain empowerment programme being implementated by Governor Fintiri.

Responding, Kwandi Nungura described Namdas as astute, active and grassroots politician per excellence Adamawa State needs in order to take over from Governor Fintiri.

Kwandi Nungura said that Adamawa State will be great if leaders like Namdas will be given opportunity and prayed God to bring those that have the love of their people at the heart.

On his part, HRH, Amna Shelleng, Alh. Dr. Abdullahi Dasong, appreciated him and his campaign team for the visit and prayed God to crown their effort with success.

Addressing crowd at the LGAs, the Governorship Aspirant, appreciated them for the warmed reception accorded to him and his campaign train, saying he is not in the LGAs for campaign but to thank them for their support.

He contended that it is high time now for Southern zone to produce a Governor, assuring that he will be the next Fresh Air Governor who will take over from Governor Fintiri.

He urged youth and women to come and vote for him during governorship primary election, and promised continuity on assumption of office.

In his remarks, a stakeholder and former Chairman APC, Shelleng LGA, Yawale Tela, said that if Gombe state with 11 LGAs can produce Governor, Adamawa South with 9 LGAs can produce the next Governor.

Hon. Yawale told the gathering that Namdas is a credible and trusted leader, saying that he had performed excellently well when he was representing Mayo, Jada, Ganye and Toungo at the House of Representatives.

In his welcome address, the APC Chairman Shelleng LGA, Hon. Joshua Njin, who was represented by the Organising Secretary, Njalawo Ali, assured him of support, and promised to work towards ensuring his victory.

Also speaking, the APC Youth Leader, Musa Johnson who represented Iliya Enock, appealed to him to remember more especially the youth when he becomes Governor of Adamawa State.
