Lawmakers at the Adamawa State House of Assembly on Wednesday, received the final 2025 Revised Budget Amendment Bill for consideration and passage. Already, the amendment bill has scaled 1st and 2nd reading at the assembly's resumed sitting presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley. The bill is contained in a letter forwarded to the assembly by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, asking the assembly to consider and approve it. Fintiri informed the legislators that the State Executive Council at its 4th (2026) meeting held on Wednesday 29th April, 2026, considered and approved the final 2025 Revised Budget Amendment in order to regularise the over expended sub -heads by some ministries, departments and agencies. Adamawa State House of Assembly has just confirmed 7 State Development Area Administrators appointed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. News Platform  The Development Area Administrators confirmed by the assembly include Idris Usman, Mayo Ine, Gumniba Billaba, Guyuk West, Prince Ginka Pondiwe, Guyuk South, Christopher Maxwell, Guyuk Central. Others include Desmond Minakaro, Gyawana, Mohammed Musa Gengle, Gengle and Gambo Sarki, Yola Central. The confirmation followed the consideration of a letter sent to the assembly by Governor Fintiri dated 4th May, 2026, where requested the hallowed chamber to confirm them. The motion for confirmation was moved by the Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Ahmed Jingi Belel (Maiha) and seconded by Hon. Japhet Hammanjabu (Verre) respectively.   The Chief Magistrate Court I in Yola, Adamawa State, has remanded 2 in prison custody for allegedly strangling a 14 years old boy, Nyalli Muktari to death. The defendants, Safiyanu Mohammed, 22, and Muhammed Bello, 20, of Shelleng LGA, were remanded at the correctional centre by the Chief Magistrate court presided by Bello Ismail. The duo were remanded at the correctional centre for the offences of criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, theft and culpable homicide contrary to sections 60, 248, 276 and 191 of the penal code law of Adamawa state. Arraigning the defendants, ASP Zakka  Musa, informed the court that the defendants allegedly committed the offences on the 30th March, 2026. He said that the Shelleng Divisional Police headquarters received a reliable information over the missing of the deceased at Babban Dada village in Shelleng LGA.
