ADAMAWA WOMEN JOURNALISTS INAUGURATE NEW EXCO



The new Executive Council of the Nigeria Union of Women Journalists(NAWOJ), Adamawa state chapter have been inaugurated, with a charge on the new exco to strictly abide by the constitution of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

The new officials of the union were endorsed by the Congress and expected to pilot the affairs of women Journalists in the state in the next 3 years.

Those endorsed to head the union include; Zainab Saidu Abubakar(TV Gotel), Coordinator, Villain Murray(ABC), Vice Coordinator, Rose Anthony Elisha(ATV) Secretary, Sakina Ahmad(Fimbina FM), Assistant Secretary.

Others are; Jawati Jangati Friday (Fombina FM), Treasurer, Rabi Sule(APL) Financial Secretary and Zainab Suleiman Gurin(ABC).

Speaking while performing the inauguration ceremony at the Press Center today, the National Secretary of NAWOJ Ladi Bala, congratulated the new exco and urged them to operate within the confine of the law that established the NUJ.

She charged them to strive hard and serve as the mirror of the society as well as justify the confidence reposed in them by the members of the union.

In his remarks, the state Chairman of NUJ, Com. Ishaka Donald Dedan, appealed to them to work as a team to enable them take the union to the greater height, congratulating them for emerging as the new exco of the union.
