DREADED SHILA BOYS SHIFT BASE TO MUBI



 Dreaded Shila Boys that have been attacking motorists and their passengers in Yola, the Adamawa State capital have now shifted their base to Mubi North and South, and having their field day in the affected areas.

The notorious boys are reportedly carrying out their nefarious activities as they used to do in Yola, by snatching handbags, GSM mobile phones and other valuables in a broad day light without fear of being arrested by the security agencies.

Reports reaching the News Platform indicated that the hoodlums do not only snatch peoples' valuables but stab their victims with knife or any sharp object whenever they try to resist.

Investigation by the News Platform further revealed that the notorious boys use tricycle as commercial operators but as soon as one gets into their tricycle they will rob them and then push them on the side of the road.

Residents of the Mubi are said to be living in palpable fear as many no longer carry their handbags to banks, offices or playing with android phones on the roads or tricycles for the fear of being snatched by these terrifying groups of bandits.

Already, several people are said to have fallen the victims of these boys and are appealing to the government and security agencies to take necessary action with a view to curtailing their activities.

It could be recalled that upon assumption of office, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, adopted stern measures and addressed the activities hoodlums within the state capital, and that is why for quite sometimes now, thare are no reports of such cases as it used to be.

But some of them who fled out of the state capital are now regrouping and terrorising residents of  Mubi, who are now appealing to government and the security agencies to intervene towards addressing the situation.

When contacted on phone for confirmation, the spokesman of the Police Command in State, DSP, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that he does not want to preempt the command's oprational method, but the command is doing everything possible to curb it.
