ADAMAWA GOVT RECEIVES 1400 CORPS MEMBERS, PROMISES CONTINUED SUPPORT



Adamawa State Government has received a total number of 1400, Batch B, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to the state, promising to continue in supporting NYSC scheme.

The Deputy Governor Chief Crowther Seth, had while receiving Batch B Corps members at the permanent Orientation Camp Damare, Girei Local Government Area of the state today, said that the government is poised to supporting the scheme.

While congratulating the corps members ,he urged them to take the training very serious and shun any negative rumour filtering the air about Adamawa state, saying that the state is relatively peaceful only for the pocket of happenings 200 kilometers away from the state capital.

He described the people of Adamawa state as peaceful, loving and hospitable, and assured them of a  peaceful stay in the state, announcing the donation of 5 cows, 20 bags of rice and 5  jerrycans of oil .

Earlier the NYSC state Coordinator  Ibrahim Mohammed commended the state government for supporting the NYSC  scheme in the state, charging the corps members to remain focused and dedicated through out the period of the orientation course

He thanked the State government for its efforts in tackling insecurity in the State, pledging to do everything possible to train the corps members in a way that will be useful to the State and country at large.

He called on the corps members to abide by the rules and regulations within the camp premises.
